Teaching opportunity in Daegu, South Korea
(26 March 2013)
Interested in spending a year teaching English at a state-of-the-art facility outside of Daegu, South Korea? UCCS-OIA is
looking for individuals to undertake twelve-month contracts to teach
at the Daegu Gyeongbuk English Village, which our office helps to
manage with its Korean partner, Yeungjin College (the legal employer
of all teachers). This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to
have an experience working with students of different ages and abilities in a creative, dynamic environment.
Our diverse faculty of 45-50 teachers provides a
supportive community
in which to work and live, with more support
coming from an on-site management team and UCCS-OIA.
Please see our website for more information, or contact Ms. Sarah
Vinz (svinz@uccs.edu, tel. 1-719/255-4218).
We are now looking for
candidates to begin contracts on 1 July and 1 September 2013 (with
arrival in Korea a week earlier), but start dates later in the year
may also be available. Please note that the Korean government
requires all incoming teachers to submit a federal-level FBI check, which can take up to three months to obtain.
Please also note that teachers must have at
least an undergraduate
diploma in hand prior to departure (although it
is not required for the application process). A generous remuneration package including
housing, meals, air tickets, and the possibility for bonuses is on
offer. Candidates are now being reviewed -- so please contact us
soon! This not limited only to the UCCS community. We would love to hear from any interested candidates!
(14 March 2013) UCCS-OIA is now actively seeking individuals
interested in teaching at the Milo International Kindergarten in
Guangzhou, China. If you have a passion for early childhood
education, are committed to helping to create a warm and nurturing
environment for young learners, and are eager to spend a year
experiencing life in an exciting Chinese city, this may be just the
opportunity for you! Please see our website for more information,
or contact Ms. Sarah Vinz (svinz@uccs.edu, tel. 1-719/255-4218).
Candidates will be reviewed from March until May 2013. Individuals
selected for employment by Milo will travel to Guangzhou in
mid-August 2013. Please note that this opportunity is not limited only to the UCCS community -- please feel free to spread the news!
