A number of USA's academic advisors are attending the National Academic Advising Association's (NACADA) Region IV conference in Biloxi today and tomorrow. Presenters include myself and Josh Wooden from the College of Education, and Dr. Nancy Howell and Mavis Jarrell from the College of Arts and Sciences. Other USA attendees include Diane Harvey and Kimberly Davis (School of Continuing Education), Jay Hunt and Selecia Judge (College of Allied Health), and Kelly Taylor (College of Arts and Sciences).
Topics of interest include effective/efficient communication, transfer shock, talking to students about faith, and technology in advising.
